This tool visualizes automated license plate reader (ALPR) locations mapped by OpenStreetMap contributors. It does not connect directly to camera systems or show live plate reads.
Available OSRM routes are compared against nearby mapped camera points. Counts are estimates based on the selected buffer and do not confirm whether a camera can see, read, or retain a plate.
Your browser requests location permission only when you use “Cameras near me.” The page connects directly to CARTO for map tiles, Google Fonts, cdnjs for interface libraries, Nominatim for address search, Overpass for mapped-camera data, and OSRM for route comparison. This page does not create an account or include advertising analytics.
Use the map responsibly. Do not trespass, obstruct equipment, or rely on crowdsourced data for emergency, legal, or safety-critical decisions.
Spotted an ALPR that isn’t on the map? Prepare a local report, download it for your records, or open OpenStreetMap at the current map center.
Theme, map position, locally cached camera records, recent searches, and saved places remain in this browser. No account is created.
Your IP address may be visible to the external services your browser contacts. Location permission is requested only when you choose a location feature.
Checks run from your browser and do not guarantee service availability in every region.
Save the current view as Area A, move the map, then capture Area B.
Version 2.1 — July 25, 2026
Results include only cameras currently mapped in OpenStreetMap. Counts may be incomplete and do not represent real-time camera operation.
